Clay Vessel;
Plant Pot & Table thing
the potter's wheel appeared in history about 4,000 years ago. beforehand, pinch and coil construction methods prevailed by man as the only ways to make clay vessels/pieces. making pinch pots is the most direct method people have of interacting with clay. pinching clay can teach us tactile sensitivity. we are able to develop a kinetic awareness of shape, form, length, thin-ness and the thickness of walls and floors. through making pinch pots, we can continue to inhance our ability to work by touch, rather than by sight alone.
so, here's my attempt at creating "pinch pot's." the purpose of these vessels are for plants and decoration.
enjoy.
